Version 1.0 — Effective 7 February 2025
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the site. Cookies are widely used across the internet and are an essential part of how modern websites function.
CaseMate uses only strictly necessary (essential) cookies. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. This means we do not track you across other websites, build marketing profiles, or share cookie data with advertisers.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| casemate_session | Maintains your login session and keeps you authenticated as you navigate the application | Essential | 2 hours (or until you close your browser) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks — a security measure that prevents malicious websites from making requests on your behalf | Essential | 2 hours |
| remember_web_* | Keeps you logged in between browser sessions if you select "Remember me" during login | Essential | 30 days |
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's local storage for a small number of preferences:
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| cookieConsent | Remembers that you have acknowledged the cookie notice so it is not shown again |
CaseMate does not set any third-party cookies. We do not use:
Our payment providers (Stripe and GoCardless) may set their own cookies during the checkout process. These are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Our website is protected by Cloudflare, which may set a cookie (__cf_bm) for bot detection and security purposes. This is a strictly necessary cookie used to distinguish between humans and bots, and it does not track you for advertising purposes.
Since we only use essential cookies, there is no option to reject them — they are required for the Service to function. If you block these cookies in your browser settings, some or all features of CaseMate may not work correctly.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (e.g., for analytics), we will update this policy, obtain your consent before setting those cookies, and provide clear opt-in/opt-out controls.
